Gamerules are set to help new players with a head start as well as protect players from griefs and violent players:
• keepinventory = true
• mobgriefing = false
• tntexplodes = false
• showcoordinates = true
• pvp = true
...the rest are default.


Addons
• Lockable chests - Lock your precious items in an invincible chest only you can unlock with a key card.

• Lockable doors - Lock down your home with an invincible door only you can unlock with a key card.

• Compass HUD - Automatically shows a Compass HUD at the top left of the screen when crouching to show what direction you are facing.

• Thirst - While 'keepinventory' is turned on to protect your items, I decided to ramp up the difficulty with a Thirst meter. You will begin taking damage after about 20-25 minutes after not stepping in water. Bring a bucket of water with you!
TIP: The nether is dangerous!
